great news judgment and a demonstrated ability to craft a creative
rundown. We need someone who is confident in the control room and can
inspire a staff of writers and editors. Strong writing,
organizational, and people skills are vital.
Top 20 market experience required. Morning show experience a plus.
Should have an undergraduate degree in journalism or communications.
Previous newscast producing experience mandatory. Will be working in a
non-linear environment, so familiarity with digital technology
required.

Publicist for the New York Publicity/Promotion department. Under
Direction of Sr. Publicist and VP, position performs TV, print and
special event pitches. Compose press releases, alerts, critics
letters, tip sheets, and pitch letters. Provides cover for movie
screenings and premieres, which includes organizing Press Lines,
invitations, celebrity outreach and staffing. Works with press post
screenings to elicit feedback and notes (where possible) on upcoming
movies. Includes editorial coverage. Determines distribution list for
press mailings and roadshows/special events. Participates on creative
brainstorming sessions for publicity/promotional/marketing strategy
campaigns and helps coordinate execution of events and coverage. Works
with NY based film critics on reactions, early reviews and awards
campaigns.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Four-year college degree
in related field or equivalent work experience preferred. Previous
entertainment industry experience required. Previous work experience
in an office environment, handling travel arrangements scheduling
required. 2-3 years work experience in publicity required. Must have
excellent communications skills and the ability to communicate
effectively and tactfully with the co-workers, media, management,
filmmakers and actors and the general public. Good organizational and
follow up skills required. Attention to detail also required. Must be
able to work in time-sensitive situations and be flexible to change
required. Must have the ability work overtime, evenings and weekends,
as needed, required. Must be proficient in Word and Excel, required.
Knowledge of basic math, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and English
usage.

Beatsource.com is looking for an experienced, self motivated individual with artist relationships, management and communication skills. The Senior content manager must have extended experience within the music Industry, specifically music licensing, negotiations and digitization. This person will need to work with large music organizations to acquire content, identify potential roadblocks (legal, physical or artist - based) and get results. The senior content A&R individual comprehends the urban and crossover DJ market and how it relates to online e-commerce.

This manager will work to gather catalog and differentiated music content (remixes, stems, acapellas, etc.) from artists and labels across a wide variety of music genres, but primarily Hip Hop / Rap / R&B for the purposes of selling this music to the core customer: Urban music DJs and enthusiasts. The Senior content manager will engage artists, producers and labels to create and/or allow for licensing of specialized content for the Beatsource online music store. The primary goal is to generate enthusiasm amongst the Urban music community to ensure that Beatsource has all the content it requires for success.

Responsibilities:
Liaise with urban music producers / Artists to achieve buy-in to the Beatsource concept.
Manage the aggregation and delivery of content from within major record labels to Beatsource.
Creation and management of DJ/Artist/Producer “advisory board” to guide Beatsource initiatives and partnerships
Liaise with Major and Independent labels to acquire content for the store.
Creation and execution of content flow process from content providers to Beatsource
Manage music clearance issues

Required Skills:
Exceptional Communication and Organization skills
Music Industry Experience specifically with urban Genres
Industry cache & Top Level Industry contacts
Intimate knowledge of Urban DJ culture
Technical knowledge of music production and mastering techniques.
Ability to build consensus and work effectively from outside the primary office location.
