What not to wear (to the polls)

PLEASE READ THIS AND SEND TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS AND TELL THEM TO SEND TO ALL THEIR FRIENDS THANKS!

Each state has a different set of restrictions as it relates to campaigning near polling areas and wearing paraphanalia showing support for a particular candidate.

If you are supporting OBAMA please read:

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE ADVISE EVERYONE YOU KNOW THAT THEY ABSOLUTELY CAN NOT GO TO THE POLLS WEARING ANY OBAMA SHIRTS, PINS OR HATS, IT IS AGAINST THE LAW AND WILL BE GROUNDS TO HAVE THE POLLING OFFICIALS TO TURN YOU AWAY. THAT IS CONSIDERED CAMPAIGNING AND NO ONE CAN CAMPAIGN WITHIN X AMOUNT OF FEET TO THE POLLS.

THEY ARE BANKING ON US BEING EXCITED AND NOT BEING AWARE OF THIS LONG STANDING LAW THAT YOU
CAN BET WILL BE ENFORCED THIS YEAR!

Actually, only 10 states have any restrictions on what you can wear, and the constitutionality of all of these laws are being challenged. If you live in Delaware, Kansas, Minnesota, Montana, New Jersey, New York, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas or Vermont, you might want to check the election laws in your state.

The source listed above as giving this information for this group really says the same thing that I just posted, and argues why these 10 states have unconstitutional laws. It was also written in 2004. So, if you live in one of those ten states, check out your state election laws. Also, consider voting while wearing your shirt, pin, etc anyway. These laws are unconstitutional and it would be nice to see someone take a stand.

Metropolitan Talent Presents is looking for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for music to join its team as Booking Coordinator.

Responsibilities Include:
Preparing contracts and requesting deposits and insurance for all shows.
Reporting company shows to trade publications.
Advancing and settling club shows.
Overseeing local street teams.
Booking local bands as support for shows.
Requesting venue avails.
Assisting the Concerts Division in daily activities.
Maintaining company show history.
Administrative tasks including answering phones, filing and booking travel arrangements for staff.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word required. Graphic Design experience a plus. The ideal candidate would be able to travel within the NY/Metropolitan area and have a basic knowledge of show production.

As some of you may know, I was injured in an accident earlier this year. Unfortunately I need to take leave for awhile to fully recover.
