Admissions Office Coordinator

Antioch University, Los Angeles, is accepting applications for a fulltime Admissions Office
Coordinator in the Office of Admissions.

Reporting to the Director of Recruitment and Admissions, the Admissions Office
Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and performing a range of activities in support
of the marketing, recruiting, enrollment and administrative functions of the Office of
Recruitment and Admissions. The person in this position is responsible for the point of
first contact in the Admissions Department, which includes front-counter services and
response to telephone and in-person inquiries. The Admissions Office Coordinator also
oversees administrative support processes within the Admissions Office so that the
operations of the office run smoothly.

The position requires strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills, the
ability to coordinate and perform multiple tasks, and a high degree of sensitivity to the
needs of multiple constituencies.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree from a regionally or nationally accredited academic institution and 2
years experience relevant to the job responsibilities of this position;
Or an AA degree and 4 years related experience.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
Ability to interact with internal and external customers in a professional manner using
good business etiquette.
Must have excellent computer, grammatical and editing skills, as well as verbal and
interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with individuals at all levels.
Ability to take responsibility for assigned projects from beginning to completion with
attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to meet deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent knowledge and practice of organizational and time management skills.
Ability to train and supervise other Admissions staff such as Federal Work Study students.
Ability to work collaboratively with campus personnel at all levels to problem-solve and
achieve assigned objectives.
Strong proficiency with personal computers and related software such as FileMaker Pro, MS
Excel, MS Suite and Datatel. Must have strong data accessing and reporting skills.
Proficient in searching information on a variety of Internet, library based and other data
base systems.
Must exercise professional judgment regarding highly confidential budget and student
matters.
Ability to multi-task. A 'can do' attitude. Strong organizational skills, self motivated, and
detail oriented.
Basic accounting knowledge and math computational skills sufficient to order supplies,
process invoices, etc.
Hours of Employment: This is a full-time position. A 35-hour per week work schedule
will be established in consultation with the Director of Recruitment and Admissions. Some
flexibility in schedule to accommodate special projects and events may be required.

Compensation and Benefits: Salary is DOE. Benefits include medical and dental insurance,
paid holidays, sick and vacation leave, prescription drug service, life insurance, and
pension plan. Employees are eligible for tuition benefit after one year of employment.
Relocation expenses are not provided.

Office of the President

Antioch University, Los Angeles, is accepting applications for a fulltime Executive Assistant
in the Office of the President.

The Executive Assistant reports to and supports the work of the President of Antioch
University Los Angeles to accomplish the goals and objectives of the President's Office.
The President, as chief executive officer, is responsible for the overall functions of the
programs and services of Antioch University Los Angeles. The Executive Assistant's duties
require an ability to work independently, coordinate multiple tasks, and display a high
degree of sensitivity to the needs of those various constituencies (faculty, staff, students,
vendors and others) contacting the office. The Executive Assistant position requires an
enthusiastic and welcoming personality with strong interpersonal and communication
skills. High level administrative tasks and a variety of special projects constitute basic
responsibilities. The position requires strong organizational and clerical skills.

Job Specifications:
Minimum BA/BS, plus two years experience,
MA/MS degree preferred;
Passionate about higher education and the mission of AULA;
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong organization skills, accessible, professional, personable, and excellent customer
service skills;
Knowledge of principles and practices of office management and administrative support;
Strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills for interaction with staff, faculty, alumni, and
others;
Experienced in working with a wide range of constituents in a given day (faculty, staff,
students, public, board, chancellor's office, etc.);
Able to anticipate needs of the president's office and prepare accordingly;
Experience with organizing small and large special events;
Able to set a warm and inviting tone while also establishing firm boundaries;
Enjoyment of working in a changing work environment and an evolving organization;
Experience with board and external relations;
Able to hold one's own amidst strong personalities;
Willingness to assist where needed in other parts of the organization;
Comfortable with the discretion and confidentiality that attends the president's office;
Able to exercise mature and independent judgment within areas of shared understanding
with the president; excellent communicator;
Willingness and ability to organize and inform the president and his/her office (keep the
calendar, be in constant communication, maintain all office files, etc.);
Comfortable with multitasking and multimedia; highly proficient technologically;
Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), use of email and texting.
