Holiday E-Cards

This year I got the silly idea to semi-handmake all my holiday cards & really try to make each individual one towards every recipient. With my crazy schedule, it basically took me all year! (It was well worth it.) These are some variations of my favorites of the 200 or so I've crafted. Feel free to post to your friends and spread some non-denominational, santa-free, holiday cheer.

Hey LA! Puppy needs a home!

MEET GINGER!

SHE NEEDS A HOME!!! I found this little lady on the 105 Freeway today.
If you know anyone in LA that could provide a great home for her please
let me know. She's about 9 months old and a total love!!!
sarah.hartzog@gmail.com, 323.719.8811 or send me a note on here. THANK
YOU AND PLEASE PASS ON!!!

11 1/2 lb, 9mo. Chihuahua-Pugish thang. SOOOO SWEET. Would like to place her in the LA area (but I'll drive her to SF, too!) I'll cover vaccines & spaying!!

FW: Will LOVE For Food

If anyone wants to give this cat a home, please write us: artypartygirl@gmail.com

So here's the scoop (no pun intended):
  • Her name is CUCA, she's about 10months old and was rescued after being abandoned in some ferns when she was a kitten
  • She's bilingual…she understand, "bring me your ball" – although she brings it only when she wants and she understands "VEN" (come here).
  • She's REALLY SHY and prefers one-on-one time with you but gets around to playing with visitors.
  • Her cutest habit: accessible socks.  THIS IS ONLY IF YOU LEAVE YOUR SOCK DRAWER OPEN!  As quiet as a mouse, in the middle of the night, she will get one sock at a time, drop them on the floor and then carry them to your bed, waking up with a bed full of socks and a grinning cat!
  • She's been spayed, has had all her vaccines and even has pet insurance.
  • She comes with toys, a macdaddy Litter-Box, food and kitty litter.
  • And believe it or not, when clipping her toe nails, she simply puts her paw out and let's you go to town.

If I hear another fecking Xmas carol, I'll...

Hello my pals! How are you doing this holiday season? If you're anything like me, a simple trip to The Container Store hearing modernized versions of already painful Christmas/Holiday songs can put you in a knee-breaking mood. Well, I find that my trusty compilation by Mr. John Waters can brighten the mood.

"Have a merry, rotten, scary, sexy, biracial, ludicrous, happy little Christmas," says the little sticker on the front. Followed by "- John Waters." All of this in a font so familiar to many Xmas cards. Underneath this little greeting it says, "Featuring 12 eccentric holiday songs selected by John Waters to entice your holiday spirits."

Tracklisting:
1. Fat Daddy - Fat Daddy
2. Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer - Tiny Tim
3. Christmas Time Is Coming (A Street Carol) - Stormy Weather
4. Happy Birthday Jesus - Little Cindy
5. Here Comes Fatty Claus - Rudolph & Gang
6. Little Mary Christmas - Roger Christian
7. I Wish You A Merry Christmas - Big Dee Irwin & Little Eva
8. Santa Don't Pass Me By - Jimmy Donley
9. Sleigh Ride - Alvin & The Chipmunks
10. Sleigh Bells, Reindeer And Snow
11. First Snowfall - The Coctails
12. Santa Claus Is A Black man - AKIM & The Teddy Vann Production Company

And a review from Amazon.com -
Baltimore’s greatest filmmaker has demonstrated a deep appreciation for that very American crossroads of kitsch and sensationalism since the late ‘60s, at least. Of course, quirky Christmas anthologies abound already. But the songs on A John Waters Xmas are novelty songs for the true connoisseur, including recordings so saccharine and horrifying you wonder how the engineers did not run from the booth screaming; "Happy Birthday Jesus" by the precocious Little Cindy is likely the scariest thing you will ever hear in your life. Not everything is so "Outsider"-y and thrift store score; there’s the rocking, funny "Fat Daddy" by Fat Daddy, a delightful song by the Coctails with the singing saw as the lead instrument, and a gorgeous obscure doo-wop number called "Christmas Time Is Coming (A Street Carol)" by Stormy Weather. --Mike McGonigal
