Marketing Assistant Specialist- University of La Verne
Position #3002 – Marketing Assistant Specialist, Enrollment Management/
Office of Marketing and Publications
The University of La Verne has an opening for a Marketing Assistant
Specialist in Enrollment Management/Office of Marketing and
Publications. Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer, the
primary responsibility of this position is to provide technical and
other support to the Marketing Department.
The duties for this position include four key areas: 1) Technology –
tasks include developing, maintaining and updating marketing systems
including development and maintenance of databases that serve as
operational platforms for the marketing department, such as University
Education Fair Schedules, Marketing Media Schedules and Vendor
Contacts, Inquiry Management Report Systems and Recruitment Plus
Inquiry Management System; developing templates for web-based Event
Response System; structuring and maintaining framework for an annual
university-wide Competitive Analyses and completing the analysis; 2)
Intake – tasks include professionally handling prospective student
phone inquiries; accurate and timely data entry into Banner Recruit
and/or Recruitment Plus; processing and distributing appropriate
information packets; managing recruit communication plan on Banner; 3)
Associate Director of Admissions support – tasks include working with
the Associate Director of Admissions for specified campuses supporting
their marketing and recruitment needs 4) General Clerical support –
tasks include processing purchase orders and check requests following
the University policies and procedures; assisting in generating a
variety of memos, letters, forms and reports as requested; working
with other campus departments to support specific marketing/
recruitment needs; retrieving all on-line inquiries; processing on-
line degree program inquiries; supporting program information meetings
and assisting at Education Fairs; and other related duties as assigned
by Chief Marketing Officer.

Candidates need to have a High School Diploma or equivalent and five
years of progressive experience in administrative and/or clerical
support. Preference will be given to those with sales and marketing
experience. Strong computer skills including Excel and Access software
skills are essential. Candidates must possess excellent verbal/written
communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. Successful
candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to prioritize,
initiate and complete tasks while providing excellent customer service
and participate as an effective team member.

The hiring range for this position is dependent upon qualifications
and departmental equity. Benefits of employment include a
