> Description: POSITION PURPOSE:
> Screen Actors Guild, the world's leading entertainment union, seeks
> an experienced web video specialist to create dynamic videos that
> will advance the Guild's overall communications goals. Under the
> direction of the communications executive director, the video
> specialist will be responsible for writing, producing, directing and
> editing digital video segments.
> This section provides a general summary of the most significant job
> duties performed. It does not explain in detail every single duty
> performed:
> • Develop and create a variety of short form videos that will
> communicate the Guild's various initiatives in an20effective and
> compelling manner.
> • Produce, direct, shoot and edit all videos for online and DVD or
> other distribution.
> • Work closely with communications executive director, director,
> communications and other key staff to strategically utilize video
> content online and in other distributions..
> • Manage=2 0video section of SAG.org website. This includes
> uploading videos using content management system.
> • Perform other duties as assigned.
> • Comfortable serving as a camera person, director and editor
> • Expertise creating and editing short form video productions for
> web and other distributions.
> • Experienced cinematographer with DV or mini-DV background preferred.
> • Expert knowledge in the following tools and equipment: Final Cut
> Pro, audio editing, Flash programming, high definition video
> • Proficiency in creating graphics and animation using Adobe
> Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects or similar graphic software
> programs used in video productions
> • Creative mindset to generate fresh and exciting content.
> • Skill in meeting with others to assess needs, develop concepts/
> storyboards and carry through to finished product.
> • Ability to manage multiple and conflicting deadlines and
> coordinate organized project plans.
> Undergraduate degree required. Major in film, journalism or
> communications preferred.
> Minimum of 3 years experience with producing and editing digital
> video.
> Combination of education and experience may be suitable.
> Requirements:
> Salary: $52,200.00 negotiable
