Part Time Graphic and Web Support Position

Working together with emerging and established artists, Rock Steady introduces highly tailored marketing strategies and follows them from conception to execution combining unmatched precision with fresh execution. Our 360-degree approach offers an array of services including public relations, marketing, sales, product management, digital marketing and radio promotion all under one roof.
We are looking for a part time graphic design mind with the additional ability to create simple web solutions.
The ideal candidate has:
*intermediate to advanced ability in Photoshop/Indesign
*basic ability in HTML, CSS and Word Press
*a keen eye for design trends in music design
*ability to quickly turn simple design concepts around
*ability to work within the expectations of clients
*able to streamline design and web solutions
Job duties to include:
*Redesign existing email newsletters
*Design weekly email newsletters for DJs and commercial subscribers
*Design look and feel of industry news blasts
*Evolve design of our website
*Update design of our media kit for prospective clients
*Handle and edit artist assets on company FTP for press
*Create graphics for clients as needed, including but not limited to: social media background pages, banners, stickers, CD art reformatting, posters and email templates.
*Design and develop a portable music player page
Rock Steady currently works with a client roster that includes: Vitalic, Boys Noize, k-os, Forro In the Dark, Cory Chisel, The Bravery, VHS or Beta, Silver Starling and many more. Our roster for 2010 will be rotating and cover all sorts of great indie-minded bands from both the rock and dance worlds. Our ideal candidate will be able to anticipate these needs and understand the aesthetics of all corners of the indie rock world.
